Carstensz Adventure is specializing in organizing Cartensz Pyramid Expedition in West Papua of Indonesia either by trekking, helicopter or combination of both. Despite it's being new but the members of the team are consist of experienced personel who have been through the ups and downs of organizing Carstensz Expeditions under famous operators in Indonesia.

 

Carstensz Adventure is a special department under Liwayne Adventure Tour & Travel which is based in Manado - North Sulawesi. By the release of this website, there hasn't been any official expedition organized by Carstensz Adventure but with years of surveying the area arround Carstensz, collecting all useful information from local people and performing exploratory expeditions, to the team delights a new trekking route to the basecamp was finally discovered and successfully tried out and to the team's surprise, this new route takes only 4 days trekking to the basecamp from the starting point compared to normal route via Beoga and Ilaga which takes 6 days. The beautiful nature, exotic culture and friendly people of Moni tribe encountered along the trekking route would be added values to your Carstensz Pyramid Expedition.

Carstensz Adventure is led by Rudy Ruus, an experienced trekking guide who started his career as a jungle trekking guide more than 12 years ago in Central Sulawesi. He is also known to be the first person who introduced the beautiful Togian Islands to the world.

 

This new trekking route was finally revealed after years of taking and helping mountainers to West Papua for Carstensz Pyramid Expedition in which he experienced all the difficulties during the expedition which sometimes ending in cancellation of the expedition which then inspired Rudy to start surveying the area for new alternative trekking route to the basecamp that ensures more safety, certainty and the most important thing is no time would be wasted. Until recently, all the efforts were paid off.

The other members of the Carstensz Adventure team are Steven Liwe, one of the most active Carstensz Pyramid guide who had led many successful expeditions to this mountain, Kosmas - a friendly local fellow from Moni Tribe of Papua whose job is the porters coordinator & translator and Stenly Mamengko - in charge of office & administration stuff including replying emails.
